1952 Bröderna Soneruds Maskinförmedling, a company dealing in agricultural machines, is established by brothers John and Gottner Sonerud.
1953-1957 The range is extended to include motor saws, freezers, fridges and televisions. Brother Eric joins the company.
1957
Brothers Erik and Gottner leave the company and John establishes Soneruds Maskin AB.
1959
John Sonerud establishes Svenska Hymas AB together with three Norwegians.
1959-1978 Soneruds Maskin AB is one of Sweden’s leading distributors of loaders.
1972 John sells Svenska Hymas AB to Karolin Invest in Skellefteå.
1977 John and his son Åke start at Soneruds at the same time. A new factory is built in Hudiksvall. Production and sale of Sea-Dump start.
1978-1979 Hymas sales are wound up and the company becomes an engineering and sales company, which subcontracts its manufacturing processes.
1980 The Grab John excavator bucket is launched. John’s son Åke becomes the company’s new CEO.
1983-1988 The Grab John method of mechanical pipe-laying of concrete pipes is launched. This is used by approx. 60% of Swedish municipalities. Development and sale of over a hundred vibrating cable laying systems for laying fibre-optic cables. |
1993 The first OilQuick coupler for loaders is sold.
1996-1997
OilQuick for loaders is launched. Soneruds Maskin AB is launched on the Stock Exchange by means of two targeted new share issues.
1998 OilQuick for forklift trucks is developed.
2001 A boom-mounted OilQuick coupler for recycling machines is produced. Strong growth in the German market. The first OilQuick deliveries to the USA. The Sonerud family once more becomes sole owners of the company.
2002 Soneruds Maskin AB celebrates its 50th anniversary, and changes its name to OilQuick AB.
2004 The largest fully aoutomatic quick coupler system in the world, called OQ120, was sold and delivered to a customer in Switzerland. At the Bauma 2004 in Munich the new boom coupler concept OQB125 was demonstrated
2005 Hiab launched the unique quick coupler system Toolexchanger for lorrycranes on the market. The system is developed by OilQuick AB.
2008
OilQuick quick couplers are introduced in North America.
A new factory and office facilities are built in Hudiksvall. |
